Application Notes

The Wärtsilä 32 Fuel Oil Automatic Filter (1F08) is part of the booster-unit arrangement. Wärtsilä specifies the automatic filter to be installed before the heater, between the feed pump and the de-aeration tank. The filter should be equipped with a heating jacket and has a design temperature of 100°C. A manually cleaned filter is recommended in the bypass line. For operation on MDF, overheating above 100°C must be prevented and the heating must be capable of being switched off. The documented fineness of the automatic filter is 35 µm (absolute mesh size).
